We’re delighted to announce that Skamper is becoming the Official Running App of the Shit Runners Club.

Skamper is a free running app built around discovering routes, sharing adventures and encouraging people to get outside. In other words, it feels like a pretty natural fit for a club built around getting people moving without pressure, pace obsession or egos.
During an initial three-month pilot, SRC club leaders will begin adding local routes and runlists to Skamper. This will allow runners to see what’s planned, discover new routes and log their own runs and walks.
Using Skamper will always be completely optional. Nobody needs an app to join an SRC session – but it gives those who want it another useful way to explore routes, follow club activity and get involved.
There’s also a brilliant charitable side to the partnership. Skamper supports WellChild, donating money when new routes are submitted to the app. With Shit Runners across the country adding and sharing their favourite routes, there’s a real opportunity for us to make a collective difference.
Through its work with WellChild, Skamper also has six places ring-fenced for the 2027 London Marathon. Places aren’t guaranteed – runners will need to apply when applications open on 31 October – but commitment to supporting WellChild will be taken into account.
SRC founder Shaun Fagan said:
“This feels like a really natural partnership. Skamper is free, accessible and focused on encouraging people to get outside and enjoy running rather than obsessing over performance. Our clubs will be able to share routes and plans while collectively helping to raise money for WellChild. That’s a pretty good result for adding a few bits of shit to a map.”
Kirsty Reade from Skamper said:
“Everybody at Skamper is on board and excited. We’re really looking forward to helping each other out and getting more involved with the Shit Runners.”
We’ll share more information shortly about how SRC members and club leaders can get started.
In the meantime, you can find out more at skamper.com.
Be Kind. Be Slow. Be Shit.
