Because she thought she couldn’t.
When Jacqui first spotted Shit Runners Club, she’d just turned 60, hadn’t run in years, and wasn’t sure she’d even make it around walking. Like so many people, she wondered if everyone else would be fitter, faster and more confident.
Two months later, she ran the whole route.
Not because she suddenly became an athlete. Because she found people who encouraged her every step of the way.
That’s what being a Shit Runner is all about.
It’s not about pace.
It’s not about age.
It’s not about how far you can run.
It’s about showing up.
Over the coming weeks we’re sharing the stories of the incredible people who make this club what it is. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things simply by taking that first step.
Meet Jacqui. ❤️
If you’ve been thinking about coming along but keep talking yourself out of it, read her story. Then come and write your own.
Be Kind. Be Slow. Be Shit. 💩🏃
